It’s getting hot in here

Oh, hi there. Nice to see you. Where have I been? Well, I’ve been around but . . . not. Life is lifing and I am HORRIBLE at updating this website and even more horrible about prioritizing social media. (Or really good about ignoring social media depending on how you look at it.)

Good news is, “Hot Ghoul Summer”, the Welcome to Moonridge prequel novella is live! You can purchase it now on Kindle, and for those of you who subscribe to KDP, you can read it for free!

And now for the question I know many of you are begging me to answer (and I know this because I’ve read your emails). When can we expect book four? I gotta be honest. I don’t have a date for you yet. I had written several chapters, set it aside for several weeks to deal with some personal stuff and when I went back to it I hated everything and I scrapped it and went back to the proverbial drawing board.

So, I’m working on it. Honestly, right now, I am working through the plots of the next two books. I really want to wrap up this Concord storyline (or at least this version of it) in the next two books if I can, but there are many loose threads I need to tie up and I want to do them in a way that honors the characters and the story. The good news is, while working through this, I know the ending of book five and I have ideas of where to take the series after this storyline is wrapped up. I have also been diving into each member of the Concord so I know their stories and what led them to join (whether willingly or not) and in doing so I am thinking I might publish a companion book that focuses on each of the members of the Concord Thirteen. Right now, I’m thinking I’ll release book four then maybe release The Concord stories and then book five over the next couple of years. Will it play out that way? Who knows. I may end up hating it and scrap it completely, but that’s the plan.

I know I’m quiet, my newsletter is basically comatose and my social media presence is basically nonexistent, but that doesn’t mean I’ve gone anywhere. I just need to find a better balance between life, the day job, writing and my online presence. I’ll try harder. 🙂 Thanks for sticking with me and helping to get the word out about this crazy little series.

I’ll do my best to give an update soon. Until then, have an amazing summer!

Love,

Avery
