Blue Moon Festival Returns Next Saturday
By The Moonridge Gazette Staff
The Blue Moon Festival is back this weekend, bringing fun, food, and friendly competition to the town square. The event kicks off at 2 p.m. on Saturday and runs through sunset.
Festival favorites will return this year, including a balloon artist, face painting, craft vendors, and the always-popular cotton candy stand. Kids and adults alike can join in the three-legged race, pie-eating contest, and bake-off showdown. Prizes will be awarded for best dessert, most original cookie, and “most magical” presentation.
For those new to Moonridge, a “blue moon” happens when there are two full moons in one month. Locals believe it marks a lucky time, and there’s no better way to celebrate than gathering with neighbors under the stars.
Mayor Peterson encourages everyone to bring a blanket, shop local, and stay for the live music at dusk. “It’s one of the best nights of the summer,” he said. “We can’t wait to see everyone there.”

Looking to soak in a little magic? Hazel Thornton and La’Tasha Morehouse will host a “Make Your Own Magic Bath Bomb” class at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 30 at The Blue Moon Apothecary.
Participants can choose from a variety of magical infusions, including love potions, healing energy, money attraction, and protection spells. All supplies will be provided, and no prior magical experience is needed.
The cost is $20 per person. Spots are limited, and early sign-up is encouraged. “We’ll keep it fun, safe, and just a little bit sparkly,” Hazel said.

Letter to the Editor: Concerned About Werewolf Behavior
Submitted Anonymously
To the Editor,
I’m writing as a longtime Moonridge resident who loves this town, but I have to say, something strange is going on.
Over the past two weeks, I’ve noticed more growling than usual near the trails, shredded clothes left behind benches, and one very large paw print outside my recycling bin. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but the werewolves have been acting a little … off.
I know most of them are good folks. I’m not saying they’re dangerous. But someone needs to check in with the pack before this gets out of hand. My neighbor’s cat is still missing, and the full moon isn’t even here yet.
Just asking for a little caution, and maybe some attention from Sheriff Harlow and his deputies.
Signed,
A Concerned (and Slightly Nervous) Citizen
